Virtual Rehearsals

I miss PCO. I know that other members have been missing our Wednesday get togethers. Some may have wondered why we couldn’t just do virtual rehearsals using Zoom, or some similar platform. I’ve been looking for a way to explain the reasons why we haven’t done this. I don’t pretend to understand the details, other than that the main issue is Latency. In short, none of us would be appear to be playing in time with anyone else, due to the way the Internet works. This issue can be overcome, but only with difficulty and expensive software. The article below is the best I’ve found so far on the topic. I hope it may help to explain why PCO is still completely out of action.
